The Identity Tampa Bay recommends three things to do this weekend:
Cocktails on the Courts
Saturday, 7 – 10 p.m. | St. Pete Shuffleboard Club, St. Pete Pier
Vintage. Cocktails. Courts.
That’s what St. Pete does.
This Saturday they’re all coming together for the Museum of History’s vintage Florida celebration at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club. Entertainment-goers can expect a 50s-themed night under what should be a beautiful night sky, some shuffleboard, unlimited Florida cuisine, old-timey cocktails, and live music from The Black Honkeys.
There will even be appearances from Elvis Presley and Marylin Monroe, who are taking time off from their most recent biopics to attend the star-studded affair. Event tickets are available for $100 with all proceeds going toward the Museum of History.
Bangarang 10-Year Anniversary Party
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. | Crowbar, Ybor City
There’s good reason Bangarang is extremely beloved in the Tampa Bay music community—being supremely talented and awesome for ten years is hard to come by. Which is why guests like Shevonne Philidor, Pusha Preme, DJ Qeys and so many others will be there in support at Crowbar Saturday night.
The collection of local music ranges from Bangarang’s signature sound to hip-hop to funk & soul. All the makings of a special night of music in Ybor City.
Sponge Docks Arts & Crafts Festival
Saturday & Sunday | Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks
More than 90 of the country’s top artists will take to the historic Greek sponge docks of Tarpon Springs this weekend. A sentence that unexpectedly gets better with every word.
Jewelry, photography, paintings, plants, culinary arts—it’s all fair game at the annual festival. And of course, Tarpon Springs’ famous seafood & drink locales will line the sidewalks with plenty of grilled delights to help you avoid famine while you peruse. The party starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday.
