The Identity Tampa Bay recommends three things to do this weekend:
Lightning vs. Maple Leafs Game 2 Watch Party
Thursday 6 p.m. | Sparkman Wharf, Channelside
Tuesday’s 7-3 Game 1 romping of Toronto was awesome.
But it’s in the past.
Time to gear up for Game 2, in which the Bolts have a chance to go up 2-0 in Round 1 over the “expert”-favored, highly despised Maple Leafs. What better way to do so than with a giant big screen, local beer on tap, Bolts giveaways, an appearance from Thunderbug and live entertainment? The party starts an hour before puck drop on the lawn.
WARPED WINTER: SPRING BREAK
Saturday 6 p.m. | Crowbar, Ybor City
In a nutshell, this is essentially a cover version of the Warped Tour. Which, on paper, pretty sick.
Next-level cover bands of Sum 41, Weezer, My Chemical Romance, Blink 182 and more will take the famous Crowbar stage in Ybor Saturday night. The tunes start rolling out at 6 p.m. for $20 at the door (or $15 in advance), with the evening open to all ages.
Bern’s Winefest: Grand Tasting Experience
Sunday 12 – 4 p.m. | Haven, Soho Tampa
If you consider yourself a foodie and have a few extra shekels in your pocket, your culinary day of extravagance has finally arrived.
Bern’s Fine Wines & Spirits has cultivated a prestige tasting experience featuring wines and libations from around the world, the best cheeses this planet has ever tasted, and a multitude of bites ranging from caviar to indulgent sweets and elite hors d’oeuvres. And all of it will be enjoyed alongside an accompaniment of smooth acoustic music and live art.
Would you expect anything less from Bern’s?
