The Identity Tampa Bay recommends three things to do this weekend:
River O’Green Fest & St. Patrick’s Day
Friday 4 p.m. | Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa
You can find our 2023 St. Patrick’s Day guide right in here. Consider it a briefing on what some of the longtime local Irish pubs are up to around Tampa Bay—Flanigan’s, Mary Margaret’s, Four Green Fields and the lot.
Speaking of Four Green Fields, their Curtis Hixon location is smack dab in the middle of this year’s River O’Green Fest. An all-out celebration of Irish culture, food trucks, and (of course) beer along a green-dyed Hillsborough River. The event was moved to Friday to avoid any treacherous Saturday weather. Which is for the best. St. Patrick’s Day is always better on St. Patrick’s Day.
Innings Festival
Friday – Sunday | Raymond James Stadium, Tampa
Perhaps hindered in Saint Patrick’s shadow is a high fly ball of a music fest in in this year’s Innings Festival.
The lineup is the best its ever been with surefire live acts like Weezer, Dave Matthews Band, Third Eye Blind, Japanese Breakfast and dozens more. Roam down the list and you’ll find all-star appearances from baseball celebs like John Kruk, Goose Gossage, Ray Lankford and Plant High legend Wade Boggs.
You can also expect a lineup of Florida’s best culinary vendors and local brews. Seeing as Kruk-sy and Boggs are in the house, you can bet it’s pretty choice.
Reggae Rise Up Festival
Thursday – Sunday | Vinoy Park, St. Pete
311, Wiz Khalifa and Dispatch walk into a park.
Oh, sorry—there’s no joke coming. That’s just what’s happening at Vinoy Park in St. Pete this weekend for another rendition of Rise Up Music Fest. It’s without-a-doubt one of the best reggae festivals in the country, branching seamlessly into adjoining genres to form a four-day mecca of chill, chill tunes.
GAs are selling quickly, but there’s still a number of VIP and resale options available.
