The Identity Tampa Bay recommends three things to do this weekend:
Mardi Gras Crawfish Boil
Saturday 2 – 6 p.m. | Bayboro Brewing Co., St. Pete
One of the bay area’s tastiest up-and-coming breweries is bringing Louisiana to St. Pete Saturday in the form of sweet, succulent crawfish.
And beer. Lots of it.
The all-you-can-eat affair consists of a low country boil in the beer garden and free Hideaway Lite brew while you’re chowing down at the boil table. Bayboro knows better than to leave a crawfish boiler stranded beer-less. Tickets are $55 and $25 to reserve a table.
St. Pete Seafood & Music Festival
Friday – Sunday | North Straub Park, St. Pete
Just down the road in Straub Park awaits, well, even more seafood. Three whole days of it. And plenty of live music beside pristine views of the harbor and St. Pete Pier.
Everything at the festival is cooked by local restaurants and food vendors, from fresh crab to local fish. Along with a smorgasbord of side dishes, desserts, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The music lineup is even more understated. With local favorites like K-Luv, The Black Honkeys Band, Stormbringer and more highlighting a full weekend of sound.
Admission to the event is a throwback price of $5.
Tampa Bay Strikers vs. Central Florida Crusaders
Sunday 2 p.m. | Yuengling Center, Tampa
Tampa Bay’s fast-rising indoor soccer club is finally back at the Yuengling Center for a matchup with their Orlando rival. The team lost 14-3 to the Crusaders just last week, but we’re betting a little hometown rowdiness can turn the tide. At the least, it’s an extremely cool arena soccer scene just a quick jaunt north at USF.
